SBM Accountancy are a small business specialist accountancy firm based in South-West London. The company director asked me to create a brand identity that was fresh, modern and approachable, appealing to small business owners. SBM wanted the design to be professional but didn’t want to come across as “typical, boring, stuffy accountants of which there are so many”, so the branding needed to set them apart and reflect their different attitude.
I developed a modern and simple brand style, subtly referencing money and therefore accountancy through the circular letter mark, with a logo that will work well in monotone and black or white. The colour scheme is formal with dominant blue hues, but the contrasting orange provides interest and “pop”.
